Rooted in the Pacific Northwest, Rustek Collective Arrives at Periodic
Get ready, nature lovers. Periodic: A Pop-Up Shop will be home to Portland-based Rustek Collective from April 3-26.
Founded in 2017 by brothers Clayton and Miles Hume, Rustek creates handcrafted skateboards, apparel and accessories from sustainable, natural materials. What started as two brothers making wood inlay skateboards and phone cases in a mobile shop trailer, has grown into a brand on a mission to bring the beauty of natural materials back into everyday life. Inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, their collection of goods are designed to replace everyday objects with handcrafted pieces of art, and contribute to a sustainable future for our planet.
Putting the focus on quality and sustainability, the collective uses dedicated artists and craftspeople to build each product by hand, bringing back an air of tangible quality that has been lost in modern, mass-produced goods. By emphasizing sustainable, natural materials in their creations, Rustek focuses on strengthening our connection to nature, and plants a tree for every order to ensure their products make a positive impact on the world around them.
Rustek will be popping in just in time for Earth Day, so stop by and pick up a piece of nature.
Store hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-5 p.m. on Sunday. Periodic is located at 2252 7th Ave. Seattle, WA 98121
