Overview

The Amazon Horticulture Department, through their Plants for Conservation program, will be donating over 2,000 tropical plants that represent more than 75 different species to help raise funds to support Woodland Park Zoo’s Living Northwest Conservation Program. These plants were all expertly grown and cared for by the Amazon Horticulture staff at the Spheres support facility, which is home to over 3,000 unique species from around the world. Amazon Horticulture staff have created detailed plant care sheets and will also be on site during the sale to answer questions. Many of these plants are rarely available and 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to the Living Northwest Conservation Program. This program includes conservation efforts to help save regional amphibians, bats and raptors, western pond turtles, Northwest carnivores, Oregon silverspot butterflies, as well as efforts to enhance the ability for people to live side-by-side with wildlife.
